- Panel mounted navigation system consisting of VOR/Localizer receiver, DME interrogator, RNAV computer, and glideslope receiver [-00/02 unit]
- Simultaneously displays distance to station, velocity to station, time to station, and chosen parameter of one of four waypoints
- 200-channel VOR/LOC receiver
- 200-channel digital DME
- VOR/LOC converter
- Digital RNAV computer with capability for preselection and storage of 4 VOR/LOC frequencies and/or complete RNAV waypoints
- 40-channel Glideslope receiver (-00 and -02 unit only)
- Will operate on any voltage from 11 to 33V
- Large Scale Integrated (LSI) circuits used which results in complete unit weighing only 6 lbs. with a low power consumption of 25W
- Automatic dimming circuit for display compensates for changes in ambient light level
- Models available which DO NOT include glideslope receiver, with standard, diffused or shiny lens
- Commonly used with KI-206 VOR/GS indicator but can be used with KNI-510/510/B/520/525 or KPI-550A/551A/552/553 Navigation indicators
